As an Assisted Living Facility specializing in memory care, we provide professional staff, nursing care, and compassionate caregivers that love what they do.

ALL Sunrise Terrace caregiving staff is REQUIRED to be educated and have at least 5 years experience in the following:

  • assessment of Residents

  • ISP development

  • Provision of personal care

  • dietary training

  • first aid

  • medication administration

  • resident rights

  • challenging behaviors

  • fire safety

  • standard precautions

Besides the above list, our staff has extra training in alzheimer's and dementia care. Sunrise Terrace provides continuing education in all these areas through-out the year. As these continuing education is important, nothing compares to the experience of hands on care. So, our caregiver's has been exposed to the many facets of memory care  through experience.

Our staff is trained to not only assist in daily activities of living, but also handle specific needs to those with memory issues. They understand how the disease manifests, how to respond to disruptive changes in behavior, and how to communicate with not only the resident, but family.

We understand how important your loved one is to you and we are confident that we can provide the best quality of care!

OUR PHILOSOPHY:

Bottom line.... getting to know and connecting with your loved one.

Lets face it, moving to a new home can be scary for you and your loved one with cognitive issues. Getting to know each and every individual is key in the care of your family member. No one is the same with dementia and each person's needs vary. Being in a smaller community such as ours, brings on a higher level of one on one contact and therefore promotes this interaction. This increases the comfort level of your loved one, which therefore helps aid in our staff's ability to work on each individual memory care needs.

Our staff is a team. Everyone works together so we are fully focused on providing each with the individual care they need.
